Lucy's Story

Hi, I’m Lucy and I trained with TCP on the Primary route.

I chose TCP because I simply could not find another provider that offered the experience and knowledge all under one platform. It was one of the most supportive environments I have had the pleasure to train in. The mentors were second to none, they were friendly, helpful, supportive and encouraging. My mentor was there for me anytime (literally) and even as an NQT she is still there for support and advice.  I am thankful for their guidance, professionalism and support they presented throughout my teacher training. 

Being presented with so many opportunities, such as practical and experimental days to support science CPD and various visiting professionals supporting Maths and English CPD’s, meant I got so much out of the training. I took many valuable experiences away from those days and have incorporated them into my teaching.

I made valuable connections and contacts within different school environments. Had it not been for TCP and the opportunities they brought, I don’t think I would have had such strong connections and be in the school I am today.  
I would recommend anyone to study with them because no matter which path you are on, you are all supported and offered the same opportunities within the partnership. I have made some great friendships during my time there and I am still in touch with those I trained with.

It’s a great way not only to meet new people, but also to challenge/come out of your comfort zone!
