After a year of working in school as an instructor, I was fortunate enough to gain a salaried placement with The Cambridge Partnership. It meant I would be teaching an 80% timetable with my own exam groups and tutor group from day one. As daunting as that seemed, my worries soon evaporated as I settled into the summer sessions.

All the staff at The Cambridge Partnership were incredibly welcoming, supportive and understanding of our fears about the exciting journey we were about to embark upon.

I found the programme to be thoroughly organised, engaging, and informative.

The Friday professional development sessions offered an invaluable opportunity to participate in workshops, hear from speakers and to share the load with peers and staff. I instantly developed a fantastic working relationship with my subject tutor who worked exceptionally hard to help me navigate assessments, teaching, portfolio work and everything in between.

After graduating from The Cambridge Partnership, I secured an NQT role at my own high school, where I trained, and have worked ever since. I am now subject lead for Psychology, Criminology and GCSE Sociology, a role I took on in my fourth year of qualified teaching. More recently, I am delighted to have the opportunity to be involved with teacher training through my connections. I was invited back to The Cambridge Partnership as a guest speaker for a professional development session on emotional development – a role my subject tutor filled previously – and continue to deliver this yearly. I have now become a mentor for my very own Cambridge Partnership trainee – truly a full circle!

For anyone considering whether to train with The Cambridge Partnership, I would thoroughly recommend them as a provider. My experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I have fantastic and fond memories of my training with them.
